Jane E Hall

I studied at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and Design 1986-1987 achieving a Diploma in Foundation Studies. Then moving on to Loughborough College of Art and Design 1987-1989 where due to ill health I had to withdraw from my BA course, alternatively accomplishing a Certificate in Design - Embroidery, being awarded a distinction.

Since leaving college I have been working professionally as a Textile Artist. I have had numerous exhibitions largely in the South of England, as well as in Jersey. I have work in private collections and have worked significant commissions, three of which are on public display, one large panel at Poole General Hospital and two at Chettle House (open to the public).

I have lectured extensively to School groups, Embroidery groups, including the Embroiderers Guild and Quilters Guild and members of NADFAS (Decorative & Fine Arts Society) largely in the South of England, travelling to Jersey to lecture in 2000 at an Embroidery festival. My work has been featured on network and regional television, in newspapers and magazines and in the book Fairy Tale Quilts and Embroidery. My book 'Reflections Of Nature, The Art and Embroidery of Jane E.Hall' is published by Search press in December 2006.
